Team
Ko'KayaK
Us
All
the staff members and guides are highly qualified professionals, passionate by
the region and outdoor activites.
River
guides are all holder of the « Swift Water Technician » diploma and
the whole staff (including clerks and bus drivers) are trained in first aid and
safety procedures.

After
spending a few weeks in the South, Pamela Carrasco alias Pami would not go back
to Santiago. It
is quite naturally that this anthropologist decided to work at Ko’Kayak’s
office. She makes sure that everything is clear and does all the “tough” job
that the rest of the staff won’t do. She’s our office manager and will be the
one to welcome you when you get here.
Richard
Carrier alias Flaco is the founder of Ko’Kayak and fell in love with this
country in 1998 whereas he only came from france for a couple of months. That is when the
Ko’Kayak idea poped up. He is Mister Handyman and does a little of everything: raft guide, sea kayak
guide, trekking courier, answers the phone, answers @mails and even got to be
the web designer! He speaks Spanish, English, Italian, all that with
a distinctive french accent.
Jacynthe Boudreau : Jazz showed
up in 2005 for a training period in Southern chile. After studying
adventure tourism in Quebec and getting certified she came back for the
2006 - 2007 season and began to work as a great Sea Kayak and Trekking
guides. Whatever you choose a day or a multi days trip you might hear
her funny French Canadian accent in English, Spanish or French. For
2007/08 she is getting started in White water...
Peter Larkin - El Gringo comes from Ireland
and after he went down rivers from all around the world (USA, India,
Turkey,
Europe…), he decided to finally settle down in Puerto Varas.
What can we say about Irish? They talk a lot, drink a lot ...
everything of that is true with Peter but above all he is an
excellent White Water and sea kayaking guide and
outdoor activities in general. He knows really well Patagonia and has
been
Ko’Kayak’s trip leader for 4 years now. For it is either on
a raft or around a
beer, he is the person to share a moment or travel with.

Jorge Vasquez : El Patagón,was
born in Alto Palena in the Patagonian Northern Pampa. He has been living in harmony with
Nature ever since his early age. He looks introverted, but forget the first impresion... he
is a great guide, very vivid and a “sporty trips” expert. He will be your
courier on Rafting, Sea Kayaking, Trekking and Horseback riding trips sharing
with you his self-made knowledge of
Chilean Southern fauna and flora. He also is one of our Chilean raft
guides’ team instructor and is getting really strong in Fly Fishing.
José Miguel Hernandez nicknamed Otto Poto by
co-worker Peter (nobody knows why) is the team’s Freshman. He will be your
guide on the Rio Petrohue. Needed you advice on where to go out and party in Puerto
Varas, he will give you all the information you need. Jose is doing a Major in
Engineering in Santiago
and has worked with us in the summertime for the past 3 years. If you land in Santiago, he will pick
you up and show you around.
That’s it for Ko’Kayak’s
Famous but we will be adding others soon, such as Brad Pitt, Angelina or Tom
Cruise, as soon as legal papers are signed.
